The Long Summer Melbourne, Australia
Two classical percussionists and a composer gathered a phalanx of instruments (borrowed, bought and stolen) and took them
into a studio to record pop music.
The aim was to create music with percussion at its core, marimbas, vibraphones, glockenspiels and drums would take the lead in place of guitars and keyboards.
Lushly orchestrated pop music with nods to post rock, dance, soul and world music
